History

Findings by Anastasia on her research on Nikopol Public Archives

  • The Rarogi have been in Nikopol for centuries. The city was a prosperous place in the past, providing mined ore and worked metals to the west.
  • Ivan and his father fought in a war with Leperos and Psychonauts. His father passes away, and Ivan rebuilds the city. After coming back from a battle far into the spore wall, Ivan comes back changed.
  • Nikopol would have been the 6th Destructive Fortress, and the Rarogi would build again the Rus Land.
  • There are no reports of Nikopol having helped on Vasco’s escape in 2562. Nikopol did, however, provide lodge to Vasco a year before that.
  • Several people came to fix the humanoid machines below the city. They all eventually die, all reports has Cave In as Causa Mortis.

Groups

  • The Woyins: Guardians of Nikopol. Streltsys are a Special Ops group, focused on surface defense.
  • The Zemlyaks: Harvesters, miners and lifeblood for Nikopol’s survival.
  • The Postachi: Traders and emissaries, bridge-builders to the outside chaos.

Locations

Founder’s Square

The Founders’ Square serves as a cultural and spiritual heart. It symbolizes a bygone golden age, where festivals and prayers sustain hope amid the encroaching threats, Sepsis, and dwindling external alliances. Historical tension with the Spitalians highlights a fracture caused by betrayals in the past.

Train Station

  • The station is very organised, with weapons, ammo and clean floors.
  • The walls are cared for by Rarogi, making sure they have no holes and cracks from where Sepsis can spread within the building.
  • The roof offers a great view of the train tracks, the city (including the water pump station and its coal-fired power plant) and the spore wall.
  • There is a radio tower on the roof.

Train depot

  • Used for loading and unloading the trains.
  • Has a large quarantine section.

Lubos’ workshop

  • Disorganised mess of tools and equipment, including a smelting unit, bad lighting
  • Smell of oil and sweat
  • Hundreds of automata to be fixed
  • Visited in secret in 2594-05-08
